6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026

OFFICIAL INVITATION FROM THE CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN

Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026, a neurology-focused scientific meeting dedicated to exploring the role of fasting and metabolic interventions in brain health and neurological disorders.

As our understanding of brain energy metabolism, neuroinflammation, and neuroplasticity continues to evolve, there is growing interest in how metabolic strategies may complement conventional neurological care. This conference has been carefully designed to provide an evidence-based platform for the discussion of current research, clinical experience, and emerging perspectives related to fasting and its neurological implications.

The scientific program will bring together leading experts in neurology, neuropsychiatry, metabolic medicine, and allied disciplines to address key topics including cognition and aging, neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, brain resilience, and neurological recovery. Through expert lectures, clinical discussions, and knowledge exchange, the conference aims to support meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration and practical clinical insight.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I warmly invite you to join us for this important scientific event and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this rapidly evolving field.

I look forward to welcoming you to the 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Mohammad Saidam

Chairman, 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026
Consultant Neurologist, American Center for Psychiatry & Neurology (ACPN)

Introduction

The 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026 is a specialized scientific meeting that explores the evolving role of fasting and metabolic interventions in brain health and neurological disorders. As growing evidence highlights the strong connection between brain energy metabolism, neuroinflammation, and neurological function, this conference provides a focused platform to examine how metabolic strategies may influence prevention, disease progression, and recovery across a range of neurological conditions.

This neurology-led conference brings together neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, metabolic health experts, and allied healthcare professionals to discuss the scientific foundations, clinical evidence, and practical applications of fasting-related approaches in neurological care. Emphasis will be placed on cognition, neurodegeneration, epilepsy, aging brain health, and neuroplasticity, while maintaining a balanced and evidence-based clinical perspective.

Through expert-led lectures, clinical case discussions, and research-driven sessions, participants will gain insight into the mechanisms of fasting on brain metabolism, patient selection and safety considerations, and the integration of metabolic strategies into multidisciplinary neurological practice.

The conference aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encourage critical evaluation of emerging research, and support clinicians in translating scientific knowledge into safe, ethical, and patient-centered neurological care.

At the end of this conference, participants will be able to:

  1. Explore the neurological and neurobiological mechanisms of fasting and its effects on brain metabolism, neuronal energyutilization, and mitochondrial function.
  2. Understand the role of metabolic health in neurological disorders, including cognitive decline, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, and cerebrovascular conditions.
  3. Examine current evidence on fasting-based and metabolic interventions in the prevention, management, and adjunctive treatment of neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions.
  4. Assess the impact of fasting on cognitive function, memory, and neuroplasticity, particularly in aging populations and patients with neurodegenerative disorders.
  5. Discuss the interaction between fasting, neuroinflammation, and brain resilience, and how metabolic modulation may influence disease progression and recovery.
  6. Integrate lifestyle-based and nutritional strategies into neurological practice while ensuring patient safety, individualized care, and ethical clinical application.
  7. Identify appropriate patient selection, contraindications, and risk management strategies when considering fasting or metabolic interventions in neurological and neuropsychiatric patients.
  8. Review emerging research, clinical trials, and future directions in fasting, ketosis, and metabolic therapies related to brain health.
  9. Promote interdisciplinary collaboration between neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, metabolic specialists, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  10. Apply evidence-based knowledge to real-world clinical practice, enhancing clinical decision-making and improving neurological patient care.
