I am Dr. Haidar Al Abdullah, a consultant psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent mental health. I currently serve at BSP of SAKINA, where I lead and shape services that support young people and their families through some of their most challenging times. University.
He completed his higher training in paediatric neurology in Scotland and England and then
worked as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist as well as the clinical lead of the complex
movement disorders service at Bristol Royal Hospital in the UK. He held Honorary Senior
Lecturer positions at Sheffield, Glasgow and Bristol Universities. He is a member of the British
Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA), International Child Neurology Association (ICNA)
and the American Movement Disorders Society. Dr Babiker has published widely in peer-
reviewed medical journals and has authored and co-authored several research papers,

Dr. Nadia Taysir Dabbagh is a UK-trained consultant who has worked in the UAE since 2011, first establishing child psychiatry services at Rashid Hospital and now Chief of Division for Paediatric Mental Health, Dubai Health. She obtained The Executive Council (TEC) approval for Dubai’s first Mental Health Strategy in 2017.
Completing medical studies at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and University College, London (UCL) and higher training at the Tavistock Clinic, Dr Dabbagh became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK in 2005 and Fellow in 2022. As a college volunteer, she developed the first Palestine National Strategy for Child and Adolescent Mental Health working with the Ministry of Health and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). In 2023 she was awarded a place on the RCPsych ‘Hall of Fame’ in recognition of her contribution to psychiatry in the Middle East.
Holding a BSc and PhD in Medical Anthropology, MSc in Psychiatric Research from UCL and Diploma in Leading Digital Health Transformation from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Dr Dabbagh has published articles and books including, ‘Suicide in Palestine: Narratives of Despair’ and ‘How Can We Even Talk about Palestine and Israel: one group’s experience’ (in press, TWiG publishers, 2025)

Dr. Shannon Ward is a doctoral-level behavior analyst who has been applying the principles of learning to improve socially important behaviors of individuals with and without disabilities for 20 years. Dr. Ward started working as a therapist in the home setting, worked as a special education teacher after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education from Saint Louis University, and supported individuals living in a residential setting while working at The New England Center for Children (NECC). Dr. Ward worked at FTF Behavioral Consulting Services, supporting professionals dedicated to creating meaningful outcomes from behavior-analytic assessment and treatment processes, and recently served as the Clinical Director at the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Special Education, operated by NECC. Dr. Ward is currently the Program Director of the NECC Clinic – Abu Dhabi. She holds a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis and a doctorate in behavior analysis from Western New England University.
Dr. Ward has conducted research in the areas of assessment and treatment of problem behavior, functional communication training, the extension of successful skill-based treatment to caregivers, and the social validity of assessment and treatment services. Her current research interests include ethical research practices and assent processes in early childhood.

Dr Alloub is an avid advocate for children with special needs and their families. Beyond the hospital setting, her service extends into the community through active involvement in parent support groups and voluntary organizations. She also takes leading roles in raising awareness within the health and public sectors.
