Abstract Submission Guidelines

13th Neuroscience & 7th Eating Disorder & 8th Headache Conference – 1st ACPN Dementia Symposium 2026

1. Abstract Structure

Abstract Structure & Formatting Rules

  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Maximum abstract length: 300 words.
  • The abstract title should be concise and clearly reflect the content:
    • Title of the Abstract, Scientific Track:
        • Dementia
        • Eating Disorder
        • Headache
        • Neuroscience
  • Author(s): (Insert author names here):
    • Subject: XxXxXx – Dementia OR Eating Disorder OR Headache OR Neuroscience

 

Authors must clearly provide the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Contact Number
  • Email Address
  • Position Title
  • Institution/Organization Name
  • Scientific Track

 

Abstracts must be structured under the following headings:

    • Subject
    • Introduction / Background
    • Objective / Aim
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion

 

Formatting & Content Requirements

  • Standard scientific and medical terminology should be used.
  • Abbreviations should be defined at first mention.
  • Tables, figures, graphs, references, citations, and footnotes are not permitted within the abstract body.
  • Institution names should not be mentioned within the abstract body.
  • All abstracts must be original work and not previously published.
  • The submitting author is responsible for the scientific accuracy and language quality of the abstract.
  • Case reports are accepted and may be used only the headings applicable to the submitted work.
  • For non-applicable sections in case reports, authors should write “N/A” or “Not Applicable”.
  • Abstract submissions must not exceed 300 words.
  • The word count applies to the abstract body only and excludes headings.
  • Authors are encouraged to follow the official conference template to ensure proper formatting and smooth review processing.
  • Completed abstracts should be submitted via email to: h.diab@ashealth.ae
  • Sample abstracts from previous conferences may be provided for reference, subject to availability.
  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 15 September 2026.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to extend the -submission deadline until the end of September 2026 if required.
  • Authors will receive an official confirmation email upon successful abstract submission.
  • Notification of abstract acceptance or rejection.
  • Accepted abstracts may be selected for E‑Poster Presentation and will be posted on the conference website.
  • Presenting authors who wish to attend the conference must complete the conference registration

Abstracts will be reviewed based on:

  • Quality of Presentation: Clear writing with well-defined aims, methods, and findings.
  • Quality of Research Design & Data Analysis: Appropriate study design, inclusion/exclusion criteria, valid methodology, and suitable statistical analysis.
  • Conclusions: Conclusions should be clearly supported by the presented results.
  • Originality: Novel concepts, methodologies, or contribution to current scientific knowledge.
  • Impact: Scientific relevance and potential influence on research, education, clinical practice, or policymaking.

Only Phase 3 or later clinical trial study designs will be considered for submission.

Any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of abstracts must be disclosed by the authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the scientific accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submitted work.

Authors are encouraged to submit complete scientific findings within a single abstract whenever possible. Multiple submissions from the same study focusing separately on safety data, efficacy data, or subgroup analyses may not be encouraged and will be reviewed carefully by the Scientific Committee.

  • Abstracts must be submitted in the requested format and before the submission deadline.
  • Minor revisions may be requested by the Scientific Committee before final acceptance.
  • Once accepted, abstracts may be published in conference materials and scientific publications related to the conference.

By submitting an abstract, authors confirm that:

  • The submitted work is original.
  • All co-authors have reviewed and approved the submission.
  • The abstract has not been previously published in the same format.

Authors must disclose any financial relationships, conflicts of interest, sponsorships, or industry affiliations related to the submitted work.
