WELCOME TO

2nd Al Ain Neuropsychiatry Conference 2026

OFFICIAL INVITATION FROM THE CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN

Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend the 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026, a neurology-focused scientific meeting dedicated to exploring the role of fasting and metabolic interventions in brain health and neurological disorders.

As our understanding of brain energy metabolism, neuroinflammation, and neuroplasticity continues to evolve, there is growing interest in how metabolic strategies may complement conventional neurological care. This conference has been carefully designed to provide an evidence-based platform for the discussion of current research, clinical experience, and emerging perspectives related to fasting and its neurological implications.

The scientific program will bring together leading experts in neurology, neuropsychiatry, metabolic medicine, and allied disciplines to address key topics including cognition and aging, neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy, brain resilience, and neurological recovery. Through expert lectures, clinical discussions, and knowledge exchange, the conference aims to support meaningful interdisciplinary collaboration and practical clinical insight.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I warmly invite you to join us for this important scientific event and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this rapidly evolving field.

I look forward to welcoming you to the 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Taoufik Alsaadi, FAAN

Conference President, Consultant Neurologist, Chief Medical Officer
American Center of Psychiatry & Neurology

Introduction

The 6th ACPN Fasting & Neuropsychiatric Conference 2026 is a specialized scientific meeting that explores the evolving role of fasting and metabolic interventions in brain health and neurological disorders. As growing evidence highlights the strong connection between brain energy metabolism, neuroinflammation, and neurological function, this conference provides a focused platform to examine how metabolic strategies may influence prevention, disease progression, and recovery across a range of neurological conditions.

This neurology-led conference brings together neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, metabolic health experts, and allied healthcare professionals to discuss the scientific foundations, clinical evidence, and practical applications of fasting-related approaches in neurological care. Emphasis will be placed on cognition, neurodegeneration, epilepsy, aging brain health, and neuroplasticity, while maintaining a balanced and evidence-based clinical perspective.

Through expert-led lectures, clinical case discussions, and research-driven sessions, participants will gain insight into the mechanisms of fasting on brain metabolism, patient selection and safety considerations, and the integration of metabolic strategies into multidisciplinary neurological practice.

The conference aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encourage critical evaluation of emerging research, and support clinicians in translating scientific knowledge into safe, ethical, and patient-centered neurological care.

Conference Objectives

1

Explore the neurological and neurobiological mechanisms of fasting and its effects on brain metabolism, neuronal energy utilization, and mitochondrial function.

2

Provide comprehensive clinical updates across the lifespan, covering child, adolescent, adult, and old age psychiatry with a strong focus on dementia care, cognitive disorders, and aging-related mental health challenges.

3

Enhance expertise in complex psychiatric conditions through evidence-based sessions on bipolar disorder, sleep disorders, somatization, trauma-related disorders, and substance use disorders.

4

Strengthen gender-sensitive and culturally responsive psychiatric practice, with focused insights on women’s mental health, cross-cultural presentations, and clinical variations in diverse populations.

5

Build advanced therapeutic and assessment competencies through immersive workshops, including EMDR advanced skills, CASC clinical exam preparation, and other practical, high-impact training modules.

6

Promote interdisciplinary collaboration among psychiatrists, psychologists, neurologists, nurses, pharmacists, and allied mental health professionals to support integrated, patient-centered care.

7

Support scientific exchange and academic development by offering structured platforms for abstract presentations, poster sessions, and young investigator contributions to encourage innovation and scholarly growth.

8

Address pressing challenges and future directions in psychiatry through expert debates, interactive case-based discussions, and sessions dedicated to emerging trends, service improvement, and evolving models of mental healthcare delivery.
